Part of the Qatar LEI knowledge hub — back to the Qatar pillar.
Getting and keeping an LEI in Qatar follows a clear workflow: apply with entity details and the MOCI Commercial Registration (CR) number evidence, pass validation, the LEI is issued, then renewed annually and transferable between LOUs.
Apply — provide the entity's legal details and registration evidence from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) commercial register, or the Qatar Financial Centre Authority (QFCA) register for QFC-registered firms.
Validate — data completeness and applicant authority are checked.
Issue — the 20-character LEI goes live and is published to the GLEIF Global Index.
Use — in reporting, KYC and settlement.
Renew — annually, with reminders at 90/30/7/1 days.
Transfer — move the LEI to TNV-LEI free, code unchanged.
