Transferring an existing LEI from another GLEIF-accredited LOU to TNV-LEI is free, and your 20-character code never changes. During the transfer the LEI sits in Pending Transfer status, so United Kingdom reporting to FCA-registered UK trade repositories continues without interruption.
If your United Kingdom entity already holds an LEI with another LOU, you can transfer its management to TNV-LEI at no cost. The existing ISO 17442-1 LEI code remains the same; only the managing LOU changes.
During the transfer, the LEI record may show Pending Transfer status. which FCA-registered UK trade repositories accept for United Kingdom reporting. Your UK MiFIR and UK EMIR submissions are not interrupted.
